Two Shoes

I don´t know if I am able to decide which song is my favorite, but the first one that comes to my mind when I think of it is Two Shoes by The Cat Empire (I talked about them in a previous post) I think that I liked this song from the minute I hear it, I really like the music and the lyrics which mainly speaks about living life as you want to live it, not worrying about what other people say, enjoy the moment and do what makes you happy with the people you love. This is actually an old song, not very very old, but from a good 5 years ago.

I think if you have to classify this song I guess is similar to the regular sounds of the band which are often describe as a fusion of jazz, ska, funk and rock with heavy Latin influences, so is a fun song, one of those that makes you happy of being alive and gives you a bright perspective of what life should be.

Good tech (Amanda)

The best of the () Technology for mi S (me) is my celphone.
I love the () Smartphones!!
When you have things in WF (on) the celphone like as () your contacts, your music, your photos, a camera, and internet, you have everything in the WF (your) hands!! Is the best!!
You can look a SM (for a) place that you need to go, without the need to have a map or look in the computer.
I must admit that I SM (am an) addict to WF (of) the () social networks like facebook, msn, twitter, because I can talk in WF (at) any moment with my family in Curicó, P (Curicó and my friends…) and my friends, coment S (comment) funny videos or photos of other people WO (other peoples photos) , organize events and invite the people for WF (from) facebook for example, you can be () conunicate S (communicate) with everybody, and that makes life easier really WO (really easier).
Now, you don´t need a pocket diary for WF (to) write the chelphones S (cell phone) numbers to the WF (of) people, and transport your notebook either, because if you have a Smartphone you don´t have to load weight unnecessary WO (unnecessary weight).
I have my Smartphone since the () December past WO (past December) and I SM (have) used SM (it) for four months.
In () the first time that I bought SM (bought one ore bought a Smartphone), I use it every moment, and my friends were angry with me, and now I´m () (have) calm, ajaja S (hahaha), I don´t use it all day.
I think that I don´t WF (won´t be) live() happy without my Smarphone although it sounds exaggerated, I don´t kwon what I would do if I lose it.

Laptop addict

My favourite piece of technology it would be my laptop, which I probably use almost every day to get my university work done. Because of my career most of the things I have to do at this point gets done in a digital way, so for almost every class I have to torn on my computer in order to work, and ofcourse the fact that a laptop is a transportable computer helps to get things done so much easier, because you can work anywhere and with all your team mates at the same time in the same room. But besides all that, my laptop plus an internet connection becomes the source of entertainment when I am not working, this is probably because I live alone, so that´s why my recreation activities are a little bit unsocial. Anyway my spare time at home gets filled with movies, music, even digital books. I bought my laptop almost three years ago from a friend ( he used it no longer than six month so it was almost new) and I have used it ever since, before that, I have another one that my parents gave me as a graduation gift, but got stolen three summers ago. I think I’ll keep working with my computer until is no longer functioning

Latin influence in an Aussie band

The last time a went to a gig was a really long time ago, probably because I am not that big on concerts or gigs, I am a fan of some bands and singers but not thaaaat much to spend too much money on concerts, I guess that I am more a movie or book person, specially because tickets in Chile are the most expensive ones in Latin America, so I guess the day that some band that I really really love comes to Chile I´ll save some money to go. Meanwhile I´ll tell you about The Cat Empire, this is an Australian band that I really like but not many people know. I saw them in 2004 in a small gig. These guys are great, they mix lots of music influences like Latin and funk, combine with very dynamics presentations. I had a great time that day accompanied by a really close friend singing to every song to their first album, call The Cat Empire like the band´s name, from the first row. After that day I´ve never seen them live again.
